Bible Course

A Bible Course is comprised of 8-10 students of the same year and gender who desire to grow together in their knowledge of Jesus Christ and his desires for them in their lives. The courses are in-depth Bible studies led by PFA Ministry Fellows who possess a combination of extensive ministry, theological, and/or real-life experiences. Each group meets weekly during the semester for an hour and a half. In the Spring, freshmen go through the 'Seeking God' course and the 'Sex and Spirituality' course. Sophomores and juniors study a specific book of the Bible, which changes every year. And seniors go through the 'Vocational Preparation' course.

Encounter is PFA’s Christian leadership development lecture series each Friday at 8:00 pm in McCosh 10. The high-powered worship, world-class speakers, and great fellowship are designed to connect you with God and others and to develop Christian leadership. It’s the best way to join with the whole PFA community and stay plugged into what is going on around campus and in each others’ lives.

TruThursday exists to reveal and exemplify the gospel while celebrating African, African American, and Caribbean Culture. We meet each Thursday at 8 PM in Guyot 10. Our diverse body of students comes together to learn about the truth found in Jesus, celebrate the community available in PFA, express the unity available within our cultures, and engage in conversations about Biblical and social issues. We create a truly “at-home” feel that is rare to find at other places on campus.

In our efforts to develop a lifestyle of seeking God, PFA prays together every weekday from noon to 1 pm in The Den of Campus Club. The hour consists of worship, a brief message from a staff or student leader, followed by large and small group prayer. Some have called this mid-day time with God “ridiculously transformative.” 12-1 is open to all—come as your class schedule permits.
